Job summary:
The Administrative Assistant-BOMCA 10 supports the Administrative Officer in the overall implementation of administrative services and ensures their compliance with corporate rules and procedures. S/he provides coordination and guidance on administrative and logistical matters related to organisation of project activities to Country Administrative Assistants on a regional level, in all offices.
The Administrative Assistant-BOMCA 10 prepares administrative documents and correspondence. S/he implements processes in support of recruitment and procurement actions in line with ICMPD rules and procedures and administers contracts. S/he processes payments and maintains project´s filing system.
The Administrative Assistant – BOMCA 10 provides support to the implementation of the regional project activities. S/he organises project events and meetings being responsible for the logistical arrangements and DSA payments. S/he collects, compiles and organises inputs to meetings, project reports, presentations, communication materials and provides support to the formulation of new projects.
The Administrative Assistant-BOMCA 10 works under the supervision of the Project Manager – BOMCA 10, contributing to a smooth and timely delivery of project activities under the project(s)'s work plan and collaboratively with all members of project team(s) and the counterparts in ICMPD for implementation of the tasks.
About Programme:
Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA) Phase 10 (further referred as project) aims to enhance security, stability and sustainable growth in the region, as well as support cross-border cooperation and improve living conditions for people living in the border areas of Central Asia. Thematically, the project covers four components: institutional development of border management agencies, improvement of detection capacities, trade facilitation and improvement of cross-border cooperation. Geographically, the project covers five countries in the region (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan) and has a total budget of 21.65 M EUR.
The project is funded by the European Union and implemented by a consortium of the border management agencies of the selected EU MSs and ICMPD, led by the State Border Guard of Latvia. Thematic component leaders are based in the respective EU MSs and ICMPD HQ. The BOMCA Secretariat, located in ICMPD HQ in Vienna, is fully responsible for financial, administrative and technical management of the project. Regional structure of the programme consists of the Regional Office in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan), and Country Offices for Kazakhstan (Astana), Kyrgyzstan (Bishkek), Uzbekistan (Tashkent), Tajikistan (Dushanbe) and Turkmenistan (Ashgabat).
