On May 29, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) officially handed over a Mobile code reader to the Committee of Veterinary and Livestock Development under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, accounting for a total value of 4,270.00 EUR.
This equipment (electronic microchips and scanning devices) will be used for the operational inspection of live animals before sending them to the quarantine zone, therefore ensuring safety reducing the risks of spreading various diseases.
These asset was purchased in the framework of BOMCA 10 Component 3, “Facilitation of trade” which also aims at improvement of customs, phyto-sanitary and veterinary checks at borders.
