On December 22, the EU-funded BOMCA 10 programme handed over sets of IT equipment to the Committee of Veterinary Control and Supervision and to the State Inspection Committee in Agro-Industrial Complex under the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan in Astana.
These items will be used for improvement of the interaction between government agencies in a digital format, as well as enabling the transition to electronic registration of inspectors’ actions in the implementation of controls and obtaining the necessary information regarding plant quarantine and veterinary control on the Kazakh-Kyrgyz and Kazakh-Uzbek borders.
In particular, the State Inspection Committee in the Agro-Industrial Complex of the Ministry received 17 tablets, 5 personal computers, 17 laptops; while the Committee of Veterinary Control and Supervision received 17 tablets.
The total value of the transferred equipment amounted to 37,932.00 EUR.
These items were purchased by BOMCA 10 to further strengthen the operational capabilities of the veterinary control agency to address trade facilitation priorities, which in turn supports the achievement of results under the BOMCA programme.
