In Uzbekistan, BOMCA keeps improving living conditions in border areas through local economic development

The EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) officially handed over equipment to the Committee on Women and Family Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan (hereinafter - Committee), accounting for a total value of 14,642.00 EUR.

In particular, BOMСA 10 has purchased milk separator, sewing and embroidery machines to support self-employed women in Karakalpakstan under Component 4, "Improvement of Cross-Border Cooperation", of the programme which aims at improving living conditions in border areas through local economic development, with a focus on human rights, gender equality and vulnerable groups.

It is worth noting that this equipment was procured by the BOMCA Programme through the coordination and support of the self-employed women of the Committee.
