From June 20 to 22, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) held a national seminar in Bishkek for representatives of the customs/border departments and educational institutions on cargo scan image analysis in Kyrgyzstan.
This event aimed to assist national experts of the customs agencies, through an exchange of experiences and informing them of a methodology for training operators in the analysis of X-ray images of baggage and bulky cargo screening in educational institutions of the department.
Experts from Customs Institute of Uzbekistan disseminated the information about approaches, strategies, and training in an educational institution of the customs department of Uzbekistan. Also, participants obtained theoretical and practical skills in the field of design, development of their own methodology for training operators in the analysis of X-ray images of baggage and bulky cargo screening.
Moreover, this programme activity aimed to develop recommendations for the development of training modules for operators in the analysis of X-ray images of baggage and bulky cargo in educational institutions of the customs department.
