On July 27, the EU funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA10) officially handed over 25 sets of inspection tools for the State Service on Plant Quarantine of the Ministry of Agriculture of Turkmenistan, accounting for a total value of 9,560 EUR.
Each set of inspection tool includes: a flash light, BL glasses, an exhauster, a respirator, a sealer with seals, a scalpel, tweezers, a bag and car probes, bags and tubes for samples and other protective assets. Following on from this, a set of inspection tools will be disseminated among border crossing points and will support in inspecting plant quarantine objects on the surface of quarantined products, vehicles, wood packaging and fastening materials.
It is worth noting that these assets were purchased by BOMCA 10 on the basis of an ad hoc request by the national counterparts to further strengthen the technical basis of their respective agencies, which in its turn supports the achievement of results under the BOMCA programme.
