On 14 January, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) handed over multimedia training equipment valued at USD 10,300 to the Customs Institute of the Customs Committee under the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Tashkent.
The equipment, including two interactive panels and two computers will be used to enhance the digitalisation of the educational process at the Customs Institute. The installation of interactive touch panels will significantly improve the organisation of educational activities, offer better visual demonstrations and contribute to the development of skills within the customs system. The new equipment will also support online and hybrid classes, allowing for trainings and workshops with customs officials and foreign specialists.
The equipment was provided under the Programme’s Component 3, which aims to further support the regional economic integration process through improvement of operational practices, training and skills of customs personnel and contributing to smoother customs regulations.
