On 11 December the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) organised a regional workshop "Performance evaluation of teaching staff in training institutions of border management agencies". The event was held online for the representatives of educational institutions of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
The aim of the workshop was to train participants in methods for assessing the performance of teaching staff and applying this data for personal and professional development of teachers. Special attention was paid to planning career development of staff.
The expert from the Higher Border Institute of the Border Troops of Tajikistan, spoke about key approaches and methods of evaluation and shared the best practices of their application in educational activities.
As a result of the workshop, the participants gained a clear understanding of the methods of evaluating teachers' performance, as well as ways to use this data to improve the quality of the educational process.
This activity is part of the series of online training sessions organised within the BOMCA 10 initiated consortium of Central Asian border guard and customs training institutions, as well as its agreed training plan for 2024.
