BOMCA 10 provides phytosanitary inspection tools for plant quarantine inspectors of Uzbekistan

On 22 October, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) handed over phytosanitary inspection kits to the Agency of Plant Protection and Quarantine under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan for a total value of 49 240 EUR.

The phytosanitary inspection tools supplied for the plant quarantine inspectors will ensure effective inspections of quarantine products and vehicles transporting such products.

This assistance was provided within the Programme’s Component 3 ‘Facilitation of Trade’ and should support the work of the Agency in implementation of the National Strategy 2030, which aims to increase the export of fruits and vegetables from Uzbekistan to 10 billion USD by 2030.
