On 26 – 28 November, in Almaty, Kazakhstan BOMCA 10 hosted a Regional consortium workshop bringing together the heads of customs and border guard training institutions from Central Asian countries. The event focused on fostering collaboration, sharing innovative teaching methods, and integrating emerging technologies like artificial intelligence into educational processes.
European and national experts from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan shared best practices in the educational processes and presented the results of work in introduction of innovative solutions and changes in the training system of border and customs services.
The workshop featured discussions on artificial intelligence in education, leadership and personnel management skills, as well as innovative teaching methods, and resulted in updated Memorandum of Understanding and agreed Teacher Exchange Plan for 2025.
Providing a platform to training institutions for cooperation and exchange of information on educational activities and innovations in the training process, BOMCA 10 contributes to strengthening institutional capacities of the Central Asian border and customs agencies.
