BOMCA 10 enhances digital legal infrastructure in Kyrgyzstan

On 25 March in Bishkek, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) handed over digital and communication equipment valued at EUR 19,394.99 to the State Institution “Ukuk” under the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The equipment, including an interactive panel with a GPS module, laptops, tablets, and smartphones will support the development of new modules and the adaptive design update of the legal portal “Tolom.” This portal ensures the correct display of data on citizens' offenses. Additionally, the equipment will be used to to develop and modernise the mobile application of Unified register of crimes and unified register of offenses (URC / URO), contributing to the digitalisation of legal processes.

This support was provided under Component 2 of BOMCA 10 « Improvement of detection capacities», reinforcing institutional capacities for effective legal and law enforcement practices in Kyrgyzstan.
