On December 28 the Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA10) officially handed over the various assets to the Department of the Food Security Committee under the Government of Tajikistan on the State Border and Transport with the total value of these assets is 9,980 EUR.
The handover was signed off by the BOMCA 10 Programme Coordinator for Tajikistan, Mr. Mustafo Mamadnazarov and Head of the Department of Food Security Committee on State Border and Transport, Mr. Abdulvahob Davlatov.
Food Security Committee Department received the infrared thermometers (pyrometer), thermal suitcases, a set of bags for screening of quarantine products, computers and printers.
These assets were purchased by BOMCA on the basis of an ad-hoc request by the national counterparts to further strengthen the technical capacities of respective agencies by improvement of their operational capabilities, including information exchange and enhancing the smooth and well controlled passage of legal trade flows across the borders, which in its turn support the achievement of results under the BOMCA programme.
