The EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) provided top-edge equipment for the Almaty Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after M. Esbulatov equipping one of the classes of the Training Centre for specialists in combating organised crime. The official handover ceremony took place in Almaty on 29 November 2024.
The supplied equipment, among which interactive panel, laptop, video and audio equipment, class and workplace equipment that will be used during lectures, seminars, trainings and other types of activities, allow for the most effective use of the capabilities of technical teaching aids in obtaining knowledge and acquiring practical skills, as well as provide an effective learning environment for training specialists in combating organised crime.
The classroom was equipped in the framework of Programme’s Component 2, “Improvement of Detection Capacities” and is a substantial investment in the quality of education and professional development of personnel in the fight against organised crime, including transnational crimes, provided by the Almaty Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after M. Esbulatov. Furthermore, this contributes to development of distance learning opportunities and activities actively promoted within BOMCA 10 Programme.
