Following the working meetings on trade facilitation measures that took place in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan, this BOMCA activity continued in Turkmenistan, gathering international and local experts to discuss current trade and customs procedures being applied and their compliance with the WTO trade facilitation agreement.
During a number of bilateral meetings with international partners and business society and workshops with Government counterparts, both international and local experts reviewed the existing legal framework and appropriate administrative arrangements to be further implemented.
Based on the findings, discussions, and exchange of information with the national experts, a comparative analysis report will be prepared on the trade facilitation measures applied in Central Asia and their compatibility with the WTO TFA provisions. This document will serve as guidelines for advancing trade facilitation measures in Turkmenistan.
