The Border Management Programme in Central Asia Phase 10 (BOMCA 10) is a long-term leading initiative in the region, funded by the European Union. It is implemented by a consortium of border management agencies of selected EU Member States and ICMPD, under the leadership of the State Border Guard of the Republic of Latvia. The tenth phase, with a total budget of 21.65 million euros, is the largest initiative in Central Asia. The current phase of the Programme was launched on 1 April 2021, with an implementation period of 54 months.

Geographically, the project covers all five Central Asian countries: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Building on the achievements and results of previous activities, the work to strengthen cross-border cooperation and improve the living conditions of people in the border areas of the Central Asian States, and to facilitate legitimate trade flows across borders continues in the current phase.

The overall objective of the BOMCA 10 Programme is to enhance security, stability and sustainable growth in the region, as well as to support cross-border cooperation and improve the living conditions of people in the border areas of t he Central Asian States.
